About Us
Midland Valley High School is located in Aiken County, South Carolina just a few miles from the Georgia border and Augusta, Georgia.  The school serves the communities of Graniteville, Vaucluse, Warrenville, Gloverville, Langley, Bath, and Clearwater.  The school opened in 1980.

The "Pride of the Valley" band is one of the premier AAA marching band programs in the state.  The band has been to the state marching band finals every year since 1986, and is well known for innovative, crowd-pleasing shows.  Practice begins in mid-July for the fall show, and the band practices about 45 hours for each minute of the show.  "The Pride" was the Lower State Marching Champions in 2003 and 1999.

The band has also received the SCBDA Outstanding Performance Award 1993-2000, 2002-2007.  This award must be earned through excellence in all areas of music performance, including marching, concert festivals, honor band auditions, and solo and ensemble performances.

The band marched in the 2002 National Independence Day Parade in Washington.
